What visitors mention
EE Gunn Reserve on Woodville Avenue is Ormond's local off-leash spot, a mostly fenced oval behind the playground and picnic area that doubles as a baseball ground. It is a small, community-feel reserve rather than a sprawling park, so it suits a regular loop or fetch session more than a long ramble.
The rules. Off-leash hours here are limited rather than all-day: council lists Monday to Thursday 8pm to 9pm and Friday 5pm to 9pm as the designated off-leash window. Outside those times dogs need to stay on lead. Even within the off-leash window, keep dogs leashed within 20 metres of the barbecues, picnic tables, playground and any sporting or maintenance activity, and keep them under effective voice control throughout. Council officers do patrol Glen Eira's off-leash areas and fines apply, so it pays to check current signage on-site as hours can be updated by the council.
What's there. The eastern oval is fenced, though locals note it is not fully secure everywhere, so dogs without solid recall should stay on a long lead. There are electric barbecues, picnic tables, shaded seating, bins and a playground, with walking tracks around the reserve edge.
Getting there. Street parking is available on Woodville Avenue and the surrounding residential streets. Ormond Station is a walkable 10 to 15 minutes away, and local buses run along nearby Jasper Road.

Nearby with the dogs. The Ormond Provedore Cafe on North Road is a short drive away for a coffee afterwards, and Bin Chicken Park nearby offers a second off-leash option with different hours if this one does not suit your timing.
Go on a weekday evening within the posted window for the most reliable off-leash run, and expect the oval to be shared with baseball training on club nights.
