Whites Hill Reserve Fenced Dog Park at 258 Boundary Road is a roughly 2-hectare, fully fenced off-leash park on Brisbane's southside, with separate zones for big and small dogs and enough shade to make it workable through summer. It is open 24/7 and sits at the foot of the wider Whites Hill Reserve bushland.

The rules. Off-leash applies inside the fenced perimeter only. Dogs must stay under effective voice control, and leads go back on for the surrounding bushland tracks. Clean up after your dog straight away, close the gate behind you, and do not leave dogs unattended.

When to go. Weekday mornings are quietest; weekends and after-work evenings get busy. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable, and early mornings are the coolest bet in summer. If it is packed, the on-leash bushland trails are a good overflow option.
