Camp Hill Dog Park

The fenced dog park on the south-west corner of Whites Hill Reserve is what most locals simply call the Camp Hill Dog Park. It sits at 258 Boundary Road and offers roughly two hectares of grassy, fully fenced off-leash space, which is a serious amount of room by inner-south Brisbane standards.

The dog setup

The enclosure is fully fenced and split into separate sections for big dogs and small or timid dogs, with double gates at the entry. Inside you get level grass, dog water fountains, benches and shade shelters, and some agility equipment to give the session a bit of structure. Off-leash applies inside the fenced perimeter only: dogs must be leashed on the surrounding bushland tracks through Whites Hill Reserve. Brisbane City Council's standard conditions apply, so keep your dog under effective voice control, use the bags provided, and remove any dog showing aggression rather than waiting it out.

Pepsi: two hectares of fence is rare this close to the city, so it earns its spot on the southside shortlist.

Worth knowing

This is a busy, social park with a regular local crowd, so it suits friendly dogs that enjoy company. Mornings and after-work evenings are the peak windows; weekday late mornings and mid-afternoons are noticeably quieter if your dog prefers space. The gates are open around the clock, but there is little reason to stay late in summer when the heat builds quickly on open grass.

Getting there and parking

There is an on-site car park off Boundary Road plus street parking nearby, and buses run along Boundary Road if you are coming without a car. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, with early starts the better option through summer.

The obvious pairing is Cafe & Bar on Whites Hill, right beside the reserve with all-undercover outdoor seating that welcomes dogs. For a leg-stretch on the lead afterwards, the Sankeys Lookout walk starts nearby, or point the car at the Wembley Park Fenced Dog Park in Coorparoo for a second fenced run.
