Tarragindi Small Dog Park

A dedicated, fully fenced off-leash enclosure built for smaller breeds and timid dogs, tucked inside the larger Tarragindi Recreation Reserve at the corner of Tarragindi Rd and Cracknell Rd. If you have a small or anxious dog and want a secure, low-traffic space away from large boisterous play, this is your spot.

The rules. Dogs must be leashed until inside the fenced area. Owners must remain inside the park with their dogs and supervise at all times. Clean up all waste immediately and bring your own bags to be safe. Any dog showing aggression should be removed straight away. Keep your dog's vaccinations current before socialising in any public dog space.

What's there. A fully fenced grass enclosure with bench seating and partial shade from mature trees. Water taps and bowls are sometimes available but don't rely on them. Bring a portable bowl.

Getting there. Access and on-street parking are via Cracknell Road. Bus stops on Tarragindi Rd are a short walk away.

Nearby with the dogs. For a different off-leash setup with a big-dog area, head to Shaftesbury Street Big and Small Dog Parks. For an on-lead walk through bush tracks, try Toohey Forest. If you are after a coffee afterwards, Botanicafe in neighbouring Moorooka is a short drive.

Weekends and weekday evenings after 4:30pm draw the most visitors. For a quieter visit, aim for mid-morning around 10am or early afternoon around 2pm on a weekday. Good for small-breed owners and anyone with a timid dog who needs a secure, calm space to build confidence off-leash.
