Pet policy
Off-lead at all times in Park 15; on lead within 5 m of play equipment and during organised sport (City of Adelaide).
King Rodney Park, known as Ityamai-itpina or Park 15, fills the corner of the East Park Lands between Wakefield Road and Bartels Road. The City of Adelaide lets dogs off lead here, a rare city park where a dog can properly run.
Leads and the off-lead area
Dogs can be off lead across the park at all times, as long as they are under control. Clip on within 5 metres of unfenced play equipment, including the Glover East playspace, and whenever organised sport is being played.
When a lead is needed it must be strong and no longer than 2 metres.
The walk
Shared asphalt and compacted gravel paths wind across the park past sports fields, old gums and the channel of Botanic Creek. A lap of the perimeter and inner paths is about one and a half to two kilometres.
Bins are on site. Water can be patchy, so bring a bowl.

Walk into town for The Flinders Street Project, or cross to Tell Henry in Kent Town.
Check for organised sport before you unclip, since leads go back on during matches.
