Tell Henry

Tell Henry is a busy specialty coffee spot on Rundle Street in Kent Town, just east of the Adelaide CBD, popular for its third-wave coffee and lively, casual atmosphere. Broadsheet has covered it for its community feel, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating out front.

The dog setup

The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, but the dog-friendly spot is the shaded courtyard and footpath tables out front under a large tree. Those tables get busy and fill fast at peak times, so arrive early for a spot with your dog. Bring your own water bowl, as on-site water for dogs is not confirmed. Keep dogs leashed and settled at the table.

Worth knowing

The coffee runs on Industry Beans beans with double ristrettos, flat whites and cold options, and it is the main event for many regulars. Food is rolls and light plates done well: the Bad Boy bacon-and-egg roll and the Reuben sandwich are the famous orders, alongside mortadella and provolone rolls and small breakfast plates. Pastries come from Jenny's Bakery in Eastwood, with almond croissants and choc-fudge brownies worth grabbing. Hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 1pm, closed Sunday.

Getting there and parking

Find it on Rundle Street in Kent Town. Free street parking is available along Rundle Street and the surrounding side streets, though spaces are competitive in the weekday morning commuter rush, so aim for an early or mid-morning visit.
