FIX. Specialty Coffee

FIX. Specialty Coffee is a serious coffee operation on a quiet, tree-lined street in College Park, and one of Adelaide's most dog-welcoming cafes. The leafy outdoor seating is where dogs sit, and the staff's reputation with four-legged visitors is half the reason locals keep returning.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, a relaxed, leafy setting that feels more like a friend's front yard than a strip cafe. Staff treat visiting dogs like regulars, and there is a photo wall inside featuring past canine guests, so your dog may well be added to it. Water is easy to come by on request.

Worth knowing

FIX was the first South Australian stockist of Wide Open Road coffee and pours its own Shady Lane dark roast espresso blend, so bring your opinions about coffee and expect to use them. The food menu is properly curated too: The Lost Loaf sourdough ciabattas, toasted muesli and Cannelle French pastries, with the almond croissant and caramel slice the standing orders. Vegan options, including vegan croissants, cover the rest of the table.

Getting there and parking

It is at 27 Torrens Street, College Park, with on-street parking directly in front. The quiet residential pocket keeps arrivals low-stress: no strip traffic, no tight kerbside squeeze, just park and settle in.

Close by with the dogs

The River Torrens Circuit runs right through the suburb for an on-lead leg-stretch either side of coffee, and the Hannaford Reserve at St Peters adds open grass a few minutes away. If you are turning it into a crawl, The Nourish'd Kitchen Cafe in Stepney and Mrs. S Cafe in Maylands keep dog-friendly tables close by.
