Fika.Adl

Fika.Adl is a small specialty-coffee spot on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide, with a Swedish-inspired menu of bagels, matcha and pastries. It is a compact site, so the dog-friendly plan here is the footpath: an outside table on the leafy strip and a slow coffee.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath seating rather than inside, which suits the small floor space. It works best for calm dogs that will settle at your feet while the street does its thing.

Bring your own water bowl, as the compact setup means bowls are not guaranteed, and skip it if your dog finds passing foot traffic stressful. This is a park-up-and-drink stop, not a long stay.

Max: weekday early is the play here. The strip is calm, the table is easy to get, and the dog can actually relax.

The vibe

Street parking runs along Melbourne Street and the residential side streets nearby, mostly timed, so read the signs before you settle in. It is an easy walk from central North Adelaide, and the O'Connell Street strip is just up the hill.

When to go
