North Adelaide Fenced Dog Park

North Adelaide Fenced Dog Park (also signed as Bragg Park / Ngampa Yarta) sits in Park 5 of the Adelaide Park Lands, off Robe Terrace near Main North Road. It is a fully fenced, off-leash park split into a large main run and a separate small-dog section, which is the reason it is worth the trip: you can let a big runner stretch out or keep a timid dog to its own quiet side.

The rules. Off-leash inside the fenced areas only, with dogs supervised at all times. Entry is via double gates, so close the outer gate before opening the inner one to stop escapes. Clean up after your dog and remove any dog that is behaving aggressively.

What's there. Two fenced sections (main plus small-dog/puppy area), agility features like tunnels and obstacles, shaded seating for owners, and water taps for dogs. Poo bags are sometimes stocked, but bring your own so you are not caught short. Flood-lit until 10pm: push the button at the entrance or inside for roughly 30 minutes of light, and it will flicker before switching off.

Getting there. The entrance is off Robe Terrace near Main North Road. Street parking is available on Robe Terrace and nearby streets, so check the time-limit signs before you leave the car. Adelaide Metro buses run along Main North Road and O'Connell Street within walking distance.

Nearby with the dogs. O'Connell and Melbourne Street cafes are a short drive or walk for a coffee afterwards, and the Adelaide Inn on O'Connell Street has pet-friendly rooms if you are staying over.

Busiest on Saturday and Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings. For a calmer session aim for weekday evenings or midweek daytime. Good for social dogs and, thanks to the split layout, nervous ones too.
