All Dog Park

All Dog Park is the larger all-breeds enclosure of Pityarilla Dog Park, the fully fenced off-leash park inside the Pelzer Park activity hub on South Terrace in the southern Park Lands. For a city dog that needs room to stretch, this is the main run, with a separate small-dog enclosure alongside.

The dog setup

The enclosure is fenced on all sides with double-entry safety gates, holding turfed areas, natural agility obstacles such as logs and rocks, and a water play feature alongside drinking stations. Shaded seating shelters the owners, and bag dispensers plus bins are stocked for cleanups.

Dogs must be registered, vaccinated and wearing a visible registration disc, and puppies under four months are not permitted. Stay leashed until both gates are shut behind you, keep your dog under effective control inside, and leave food, alcohol and bikes outside the fence.

If your dog is small and gets swamped in the main run, the neighbouring enclosure takes dogs of 14 kg and under, so the choice of gate matters before you queue at the airlock.

Max: unleash only after both double gates are shut, not after the first one. It is the classic escape moment and this park has the airlocks for a reason.

The vibe

Push-button lighting keeps the park usable into the evening, running to about 10pm, and the gates themselves stay open around the clock. That makes it a genuine after-work option in a way most suburban enclosures are not. The crowd is a mix of CBD apartment dogs and visitors from across the inner south.

Getting there and parking

The park sits on South Terrace with a mix of free and paid parking along the parklands and surrounding streets. The closest tram stop is South Terrace, about a kilometre away, so most people arrive by car or on foot through the Park Lands.

Close by with the dogs

The separate small dog fenced park sits in the same precinct for dogs under about 14 kg, and the Marshmallow Park playground next door covers the kids. Little Attention Seeker and Spread Deli both handle the post-park coffee.
