The short version. Margot Espresso is a hole-in-the-wall coffee bar on Margaret Street near Wynyard, built for the CBD grab-and-go crowd rather than long sits. Dogs are welcome, but this is a footpath stop, not a cafe you settle into.

Getting there. It is about a two-minute walk from Wynyard Station, which is the easy way in. Street parking in this part of the CBD is difficult, so if you must drive, use a nearby commercial car park and walk over.

Make a morning of it. Wynyard Park sits right across the street for a quick grass break, and Barangaroo Reserve is a short walk west for harbour views and a proper leg-stretch. Grab the coffee, then keep moving - that is how this one works best.
