Nelley's Drive-Thru Ravenswood

Nelley's Drive-Thru Ravenswood is a locally owned coffee and bakery window on the edge of Mandurah, built for early starts and fast turnarounds. For dog owners the format is the whole point: the dog stays in the car, the coffee comes to the window, and the biscuits are on the house.

The dog setup

Dogs ride through the drive-thru with you, and staff have made a habit of greeting window-side passengers with a complimentary dog biscuit, which regulars report as a standing tradition rather than a lucky day. There is no seated area of any kind, indoor or out, so do not plan to park up and linger; this is a grab-and-go stop by design. No dedicated water station exists, so keep a travel bowl in the cupholder for the drive after.

Worth knowing

The operation runs two lanes: express coffee on one side for speed, and a coffee-plus-food lane covering the bakery side, with pies, pastries and cinnamon buns alongside drinks like milkshakes, iced lattes and espresso frappes. The buddy breaky wrap is the breakfast regular's pick. Hours start at 4:30am Monday to Saturday and 6am Sunday, closing at 1pm each day, so it serves the dawn patrol and the mid-morning run, and shuts its window early afternoon.

Getting there and parking

Ravenswood sits just off the Kwinana Freeway between Mandurah and Pinjarra, making the drive-thru a natural first stop coming off the highway with the dog already aboard. Queues build at breakfast peak, but the two-lane setup keeps both lines moving, and nobody has to leave the vehicle.

Make a day of it

The coffee pairs naturally with a walk rather than a table. The Joseph and Dulcie Nannup Trail at Greenfields follows the river a few minutes north, and the Mandurah Fenced Dog Park gives a secure off-lead run near Dudley Park.
