HUDDLE: the brew

HUDDLE: the brew is a small specialty-coffee cafe at Dolphin Quay in Mandurah's Ocean Marina, open 7am to 2pm every day of the week. It sits right on the marina walk, which makes it the natural coffee stop before or after a waterside stroll, and dogs are welcomed at the outdoor tables rather than merely tolerated.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor and covered patio seating on the Dolphin Quay walkway; the indoor space is for customers without dogs. The cafe is a regular on local dog-friendly lists and is used to four-legged visitors. Water bowls are not permanently set out at every table, so ask staff for a refill or carry your own portable bowl to be safe.

The food

The menu is quick and well liked: toasties, bagels, croissants and acai bowls, with a chicken pesto toastie and halloumi among the regular mentions, plus cookies for the ride home. Coffee is the anchor, and the early 7am opening pairs neatly with a morning marina walk before the middle of the day warms up.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at Dolphin Quay on Dolphin Drive in the Ocean Marina precinct. Public parking around Dolphin Quay is ample and free, with level access to the marina paths, so the walk from the car with a dog is short and easy.

Close by with the dogs

The Dolphin Quay boardwalk and the wider marina are leashed walking territory, and Mandurah's Eastern Foreshore is strictly on-lead as the city's busiest public space. For proper off-lead time, Dudley Park's fenced dog park is the closest fully fenced option, and Halls Head Dog Beach is the spot for a swim.
