Perch’d

Perch'd is a casual all-day breakfast and lunch cafe on Mandurah Terrace, directly across from the foreshore, and it is one of the more genuinely dog-welcoming stops in town. Water bowls sit out front, the foreshore walk starts over the road, and the kitchen covers everything from acai bowls to biscoff french toast.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor sidewalk seating, and the ground-level access means a leashed dog settles easily beside the table with no steps or gaps. Water bowls are generally provided and there are sometimes dog treats on offer, so you can travel light. It is a strip footpath rather than a fenced courtyard, so keep the lead short with foreshore foot traffic about.

Worth knowing

The menu runs to all-day breakfast, smashed avo, chicken waffles, bagels, burgers and the usual coffee, smoothies and shakes, with the acai bowl a signature. Service runs 7am to 2pm every day, so it is a morning-and-lunch venue rather than an afternoon one, and it suits a foreshore loop that starts or ends here.

Getting there and parking

The address is 30 Mandurah Terrace. Street parking sits out front and along the foreshore bays, some of it timed, so check the signs. It is an easy walk from the Mandurah CBD and the Visitor Centre.

Close by with the dogs

The Mandurah foreshore paths run directly opposite, and Halls Head Dog Beach is a short drive for off-lead water time. For an enclosed run, Mandurah Fenced Dog Park is south of the bridge. Other dog-friendly tables nearby include DPM Cafe on the same strip and Turquoise Mandurah, with Murphy's Irish Pub for the pub option.
