Incognito Cafe is a small, art-filled neighbourhood cafe on Anzac Highway in Plympton, known locally as one of the more genuinely dog-friendly stops in the area with its own dog menu.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor and kerbside seating out front, with a serving window that lets you order without leaving your dog at the table. The cafe keeps fresh water down, hands out doggie biscuits, does pup-a-ccinos, and has waste bag dispensers on hand. Keep dogs leashed in the outdoor dining area.

Known for. The reuben sandwich, chilli crab scrambled eggs and the Texan beef brisket burger are the standouts, alongside a house Cognition coffee blend and cold brew.

Getting there. The cafe is at Shop 1/272 Anzac Hwy, Plympton, open Monday to Friday 7am-2pm and Saturday 8am-2pm, closed Sundays. Free street parking is available along with some on-site spots, and it is flat, easy access from the footpath to the outdoor tables.

Nearby with the dogs. Tweety Bird Cafe is a short stroll further along Anzac Highway for a second brunch option, and it is a short drive to Glenelg or West Beach for a longer walk afterwards.

A pup-a-ccino and a biscuit waiting at the table is about as good as brunch gets, and the staff here clearly mean it.
