What visitors mention
West Torrens Dog Park is a fully fenced, off-lead exercise area in Marleston, spread across three sections (South, Central, and North) with dedicated space for smaller dogs. The multi-section layout and solid amenities make it one of western Adelaide's more dependable suburban dog parks.
The rules. Dogs must be under effective control at all times while off-lead. Follow the signage on gates: sections are designated for small dogs or all dogs, and specific areas may close for maintenance. Dogs must be on a lead within 2 metres of adjacent shared paths and cycle paths. Clean up after your dog. Doggy bags are provided on-site.
What's there. Separate small and large dog areas, agility equipment, water stations, and a wash-down station. Ground surfaces mix lawn and paved sections. Shaded seating and undercover areas give owners a place to sit, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. Complimentary tennis balls are sometimes left out for communal use.
Terrain. The mixed lawn and paved surface handles regular traffic well, but conditions shift with the seasons. Dry weather kicks up dust, and wet months turn patches muddy. Plan footwear accordingly.
Getting there. The park sits along the Westside Bikeway near Moss Avenue. Street parking is available, and the pedestrian and bike linear path provides direct access. Brickworks Marketplace is nearby for orientation. The park attracts heavy crowds on weekends, especially in peak morning and afternoon windows. Mid-morning or early afternoon on weekdays is noticeably quieter.

Nearby. For a post-walk coffee, F93 Cafe in Keswick and Pitstop Cafe Lunch Bar in Torrensville are both within a short drive and welcome dogs.
Good for owners who want a well-equipped, secure park with clear separation between size groups. Avoid peak weekend slots if your dog prefers space.
