Parkinson Cafe is a family-owned, community-focused spot doing breakfast, lunch and good coffee inside the Parkinson Plaza Shopping Centre at the Algester Rd and Learoyd Rd intersection. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, which is the main draw if you want a cafe meal without leaving the dog at home.

The dog setup. Outdoor seating is where you and your dog sit. Indoor seating is generally reserved for service animals, though it's worth checking with staff on the day. Water bowls are typically available but bring your own for hygiene. Keep your dog on a short leash, preferably tucked under the table, and well-behaved around other patrons and pets.

Getting there. Plentiful free parking in the shopping centre car park. Several bus routes run along Algester Road if you prefer to leave the car at home.

Best suited to a low-key morning feed after a walk at Algester Off Leash Dog Park or Nathan Road Park Fenced Dog Park. Aim for an earlier weekday slot for a calmer outdoor table.

Short leash and under the table means exactly that. Keep your dog settled and the outdoor area stays open to all of us.
