The Coffee Lady

The Coffee Lady is a caravan coffee stop directly opposite Oak Park station, an easy grab-and-go on a walk rather than a sit-down cafe.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the street-side seating around the caravan, and water bowls are put out for visiting dogs. There is no indoor area since it runs from a caravan, so it suits a quick stop rather than a long stay.

Known for. Fresh-made toasties, sweet treats and reliable coffee, with a pupachino for the dog if you ask.

Getting there. It sits on Snell Grove opposite Oak Park station, so it is walkable from the platform. Street parking is available but gets tight during commuter rush hours.

Nearby with the dogs. JP Fawkner Reserve's off-leash area is a short trip down the road, and there are leafy footpaths linking through to Pascoe Vale and Glenroy for a longer walk.

When to go. Mid-morning on a weekday avoids the commuter rush around the station and gives your dog more room at the caravan window.
