HIGHWAY is a rustic, open-air coffee stop at 233 Myocum Rd, Myocum, right on the route to the Byron Resource Recovery Centre. It is the ideal pull-over spot for dog owners driving between Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and the hinterland, offering specialty coffee from Disciple Roasters alongside a genuinely relaxed, rural atmosphere where dogs are part of the setup rather than an afterthought.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, open-air seating area. It is an informal space, and locals regularly swing by on their morning walks with their dogs. Water bowls are often provided. Keep your dog on a leash, as the cafe sits directly alongside a rural road with active country fields nearby.

Good to know. HIGHWAY operates Tuesday to Sunday, 7 AM to 12 PM. Parking is casual, located directly on the gravel verge immediately in front of the cafe off Myocum Road. The concise menu focuses on coffee, including MonksChai, and pastries.

For a longer sit-down meal or a proper beach run, continue towards Heaps Good Food Store in Mullumbimby or head to the Belongil Beach South - Dog Exercise Area in Byron Bay. Get to HIGHWAY early for a quiet morning coffee before the midday rush and closure.
