Timbo Mullum

Timbo Mullum is a cafe and community hub in the Mullumbimby industrial estate at 3/16 Towers Drive, a short hop from the town centre. The lower-traffic setting is the quiet advantage here: calmer footpath seating for a dog than you would get on Burringbar Street, and a food menu that pulls people well beyond the neighbourhood.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, leashed, with the indoor kitchen and dining space off limits under standard NSW food rules. The industrial-estate location means less passing foot and car traffic than the main street, so nervous or easily distracted dogs tend to settle more easily. Water bowls are often provided, but bring your own to be safe.

Worth knowing

This is a food-first cafe: Allpress espresso and homemade cakes alongside an Asian-leaning menu with pork belly udon, bao buns, congee and tempura prawn. Daytime hours run from 6.45am to around 2pm on weekdays with the cafe closed weekends, and occasional evening pop-ups are announced on the cafe's Instagram, so check before planning a night visit.

Max: the weekday mid-morning window is the sweet spot, quiet estate, easy parking and a table where a settling dog is no bother to anyone.

Getting there and parking

Street parking on Towers Drive is generally easy since the cafe sits in the industrial estate rather than the busy town core. It is walkable from central Mullumbimby if you want to combine coffee with a town stroll.
