The Deck at Grumpy's wharf Cafe

The Deck at Grumpy's Wharf Cafe sits at the Mosman Bay ferry wharf, an 80-seat outdoor timber deck built over the water with parkland on either side. It trades 6:30am to 2pm daily, so it covers the commuter ferry run and the morning foreshore walk in the same sitting.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor waterfront deck, with room to settle beside the table, and staff will bring water on request. The indoor area is people only under the NSW rules for food premises. Keep your dog on the lead because the deck sits directly beside a busy pedestrian path between the wharf and the foreshore.

The view over Mosman Bay and the marina is the headline, and the kitchen keeps things classic: big breakfast plates, the double bacon and egg combo, and Di Stefano coffee for the walkers and ferry commuters. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are on the menu, and the deck has step-free access. The review base here is thin, so treat it as a coffee-stop find rather than a heavily-tested institution.

Getting there and parking

The easiest arrival is the ferry from Circular Quay to Mosman Bay, which docks at the cafe's door. If you drive, parking on Raglan Street and the surrounding streets is limited and tight on weekends, so come early or arrive on foot via the foreshore path.

Close by with the dogs
