Don Adan’s Coffee Tree

Don Adan's Coffee Tree at 90 Vista Street is a family-run cafe serving Central and South American coffee and food, a cosy, community-minded spot just off the Military Road strip in Mosman. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front, which makes it a natural breather on a village walk with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the footpath tables out front, on lead. The indoor area is generally people-only, though staff have been known to welcome small, settled dogs at their discretion, so leave it to their call rather than assuming. Water is not guaranteed, but the friendly staff will usually sort some on request; bring your own bowl to be sure.

Worth knowing

The draw is the empanadas, made fresh daily, alongside well-rated single-origin coffee and a genuinely warm, community feel; the regulars talk to each other here. Hours run from 6:30am weekdays and 7:30am weekends, closing late afternoon, with Friday nights running later. It is best on a quieter weekday, when the village footpath is calmer for a dog.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Vista Street, a very short walk from the Military Road shops. Street parking on Vista Street and the surrounding residential streets is available but busy at peak times, and buses along Military Road put it at the end of a easy walk from most of the lower north shore.

Close by with the dogs

Mosman Off Leash Dog Area gives the dog a proper run nearby, and the Balmoral foreshore walk is a short drive away. For other dog-friendly coffee, Chaos Cafe, Heirloom Specialty Coffee and The Espresso Room are all in the village.
