Crêpe Délices Café

Crepe Delices is a small French creperie in the Dava Drive shopping strip, run by the husband-and-wife team Christophe and Lara, and it is a dog-friendly stop at the front outdoor tables. It sits in a quieter pocket away from the Main Street crush, which makes it an easy cafe to settle into with a dog that prefers less foot traffic.

The draw is authentic savoury buckwheat galettes, which are naturally gluten-free, plus sweet crepes with lemon and sugar through to salted caramel and chocolate hazelnut toppings. There is a dedicated gluten-free sweet crepe option that coeliac reviewers single out, alongside buttery French pastries, baguette sandwiches and barista coffee. They also run a vintage crepes van for events around the Peninsula.

The Fossil Beach off-leash area is the standout nearby, off-leash year round on the sand, though dogs stay on lead down the steep access track from the Esplanade. Back on the strip, Dreamer Cafe also welcomes dogs. The fenced run at Civic Reserve is the inland option for a proper off-lead stretch.
