2 Left Sisters

2 Left Sisters is a warehouse-style breakfast and lunch cafe run by two sisters at 98 Watt Road, in Mornington's quieter industrial pocket away from the Main Street crush. It is a genuinely dog-friendly stop, with outdoor seating at the front, water bowls on hand, and even a drive-through if you would rather keep the dog in the car and just grab coffees.

The dog setup

Dogs settle at the front outdoor tables on lead, with water bowls usually available. The industrial location is the advantage: more elbow room, easy parking right out front, and none of the foreshore foot traffic that makes some Peninsula cafes tricky with a dog. The drive-through window is a rare bonus for cafe mornings with an overexcited passenger.

The vibe and the menu

The kitchen is run properly, with coeliac catering a specialty and a good run of healthy and sugar-free options alongside the indulgent stuff: zucchini fritters, fluffy pancakes and loaded brekky burgers. Service is warm and family-run, and it reads as a locals' cafe rather than a tourist stop. It is closed Sundays, so weekend visits mean Saturday only, and weekday mornings are the calmest window for a dog visit.

Getting there and parking

Find it on Watt Road in Mornington's industrial area, a short drive from the town centre. Street parking on Watt Road is generally easy, which makes arriving with a dog far simpler than the foreshore strip. Doors open at 6am on weekdays and 7am Saturdays, with service through to mid afternoon.

The Civic Reserve fenced dog park is the closest off-leash run, and Fosters Beach dog off-leash area adds a coastal leg-stretch a short drive away. For another dog-friendly coffee in town, try the Dreamer Cafe.
