Kick Start Noodle Cafe

Kick Start Noodle Cafe is a casual community cafe at Unit 3/32 Baltimore Parade in Merriwa's commercial strip, run by the social enterprise Crusaders of Hope to provide inclusive local employment. It serves coffee and breakfast through to Asian fusion mains, and it is an easy, low-key spot to bring a dog thanks to the outdoor tables out front.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating while you order at the counter. Staff often bring out a water bowl, but carry your own as a backup for busy periods. The strip is quiet compared to the beachside cafes further north, so there is room to settle a dog without fuss.

The menu

Coffee, smoothies and fresh acai bowls lead the morning list, alongside breakfast wraps, bagels and granola. The noodle side covers Indonesian-style Hokkien noodles, Penang satay and Mongolian rice, with vegetarian and vegan options throughout. It opens daily for breakfast and lunch from around 7 or 8am depending on the day, with some evening sessions listed, and hours can shift for training schedules, so check the cafe's site or call ahead if you are timing a visit.

Getting there and parking

There is free street parking along Baltimore Parade plus a nearby car park, and the whole strip is walkable. Addison Park, right on Baltimore Parade, gives a leg-stretch option with the usual caution around the playground equipment.

Close by with the dogs

For a proper off-lead run, Edgar Griffiths Dog Park in Wanneroo is the closest dedicated fenced option under City of Wanneroo rules. Quinns Dog Beach is a short drive north for sand and water, and Brewed Awakening in Clarkson is another dog-welcoming coffee stop. Union Kitchen at Mindarie Marina does a dog treat menu on the water.
