Six Degrees

Six Degrees sits right on the boardwalk at Mindarie Marina, a casual cafe and dessert bar with marina views and outdoor tables where dogs are welcome to settle in beside you for a coffee or a Simmo's ice cream.

The setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor boardwalk tables, not inside the cafe itself. Keep your dog on a leash while you eat, both for other diners and for the foot traffic passing along the boardwalk. It is a busy marina cafe, so bring your own water bowl rather than assuming one will be offered.

Known for. Simmo's ice cream is the headline act, alongside a solid breakfast and lunch menu of toasts, sandwiches, smoothies and coffee. The main drawcard for dog owners is the flat, easy boardwalk seating with a direct view of the marina boats.

Getting there. Six Degrees is at 33 Ocean Falls Boulevard, Mindarie. Parking is free and plentiful in the car parks next to the marina, with flat, step-free access straight onto the boardwalk.

When to go. Mornings are the easiest time for an outdoor table with a dog in tow, before the marina crowds build over the weekend lunch rush. Good for a quiet coffee stop on a marina walk.
