Harvest Breads & Cafe

Harvest Breads & Cafe is a bakery-led cafe on the ground floor of the Kon Tiki building at 55 Plaza Parade in Maroochydore, a short roll from Sunshine Plaza, and it is one of the Sunshine Coast cafes that genuinely leans into dogs. Water bowls are routine, puppyccinos and treats are on hand, and staff have been known to ask for a photo of your dog before you are out the door.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor seating, a relaxed ground-level space that works for breakfast or lunch without any gymnastics getting in. Because the dog welcome is genuine rather than tolerated, it is a forgiving place for a young dog learning cafe manners. Bring your own bowl as backup, but you will rarely need it here.

The vibe

The bakery is the heart of it: standout sourdough and fresh pastries lead into big sandwiches, bacon and egg rolls, corn fritters and eggs benedict, with sweet potato waffles and sticky chai covering the less conventional orders. Coffee is well rated and there is a solid range of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. It trades mornings, Monday to Friday 7am to 2pm, Saturday 7am to 11:30am, and closes Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits in Tower 2 of the Kon Tiki Business Centre on Plaza Parade, with free off-street parking within the complex and easy ground-floor access from the car park. Weekday mornings are the rhythm here; arrive early for an outdoor table on a Saturday.

Close by with the dogs

The Maroochy River parklands are minutes away for a leashed riverbank walk, and the Maroochydore Unfenced Dog Leash Free Park covers the off-lead run. For other dog-friendly coffee nearby, MURRAYS on sixth, Criminal Coffee Company and Ocean Folk Espresso are all in Maroochydore.
