Emjays Coffee

Emjays Coffee sits in the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre on Maroochydore Road, a casual coffee and food stop with a dedicated pet-friendly outdoor seating zone. The pitch is convenience: free parking at the door, a proper coffee, and a place for the dog to stretch out while you break up a shopping run.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the designated outdoor seating, where tables give you room to settle a lead beside you. Indoors is best left to service dogs. Staff are accommodating, but there is no standing water bowl service, so bringing your own is the safe call. The forecourt is paved and exposed, so pick a shaded table in the middle of the day.

The menu

Emjays roasts and pours its own organic coffee, and the kitchen covers all-day breakfast plates with add-ons like bacon, chorizo and hash browns, gourmet burgers including the naked chicken burger, wraps, and a bakery cabinet of daily muffins, scones and house desserts. There is a kids play area on site, which explains the family traffic. Hours run 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday, to 6:30pm Thursday, 8am to 5pm Saturday and 9:30am to 4pm Sunday.

Getting there and parking

The Homemaker Centre sits off Maroochydore Road with ample free parking directly out front, so access with a dog is as easy as it gets. Treat it as a paved-precinct pit stop rather than a destination.

Close by with the dogs

For real exercise, drive a few minutes to the riverfront off-lead area at the Maroochydore leash free park on Bradman Avenue, then finish with a proper courtyard coffee at SIP Maroochydore on Duporth Avenue.
