Dose Jannali

Dose Jannali was the original Dose: a small specialty coffee shop that opened in 2020 and spent six years as one of Jannali's busiest morning stops. It was a genuinely dog-friendly corner of the suburb, with an outdoor seating area where dogs were welcome and staff who kept a wall of visiting-pup photos by the counter. In June 2026 the shop closed for good, with the owners citing building demolitions at the site. If you are heading to the old address on Box Road, you will find the shopfront gone rather than a cafe waiting.

The dog setup it was known for

Dogs were welcome at the outdoor tables out front, and the team was comfortable with dogs coming through, water bowls on request and plenty of pats during the morning rush. It sat in the Jannali village strip close to the station, so the footpath seating came with steady foot traffic; short leads were the go. The menu ran to the fast, friendly format the Dose team is known for: strong coffee, muffins, croissants and breakfast rolls, built for people on their way to the train.

Where to go now

The same team still trades down the road at Dose Oyster Bay, which carries the menu and the same dog-friendly outdoor approach. For a coffee back in Jannali itself, Jannali Coffeestation is still pouring on Railway Crescent, and Our Ruby Girl at Como is a short drive with outdoor seating of its own.

Make a day of it
