It is known for sweet potato waffles and doughnuts, well-rated coffee including turmeric lattes, and a broad healthy menu with keto, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Sunday mornings can be lively with vintage cars passing through. The sweet potato donuts are the signature order, and the waffles come out thick and filling. Hours run Wednesday to Sunday, 6:30am to 2pm; it is closed Monday and Tuesday, so check before you drive out. A takeaway cup is the go if you are heading straight for the waterfront walk.

The cafe is right on the main road toward the water, with free on-site and street parking and wheelchair-accessible access.

Close by with the dogs

The Jacobs Well boat ramp and waterfront are a short walk for a scenic stroll, and the fenced dog park at Riesenweber Park is close for an off-lead run. If you are making a weekend of it, Jacobs Well Tourist Park takes dogs, and Calypso Bay Cafe is the suburb's other dog-friendly coffee stop.
