Caffeine and Dough Georges Hall

Caffeine and Dough is a neighbourhood cafe at Shop 3/1 Haig Avenue in Georges Hall, opening at 6am daily (3pm close on Sundays), and it is one of the rare cafes that answers the dog question with an unqualified yes: dogs are welcome inside and in the covered outdoor courtyard. The venue posts about it directly, and locals credit the staff with greeting visiting dogs by name.

The dog setup

Both the indoor room and the covered courtyard take dogs, which gives you options other footpath-only cafes cannot offer, including a table on a grey morning. Water bowls are put out and the counter keeps a treats jar for regulars. Dogs should be leashed and settled, particularly indoors where the room is compact.

The menu runs from morning coffee (flat whites, lattes, piccolos, a Nutella hot chocolate and a house Mochella) into proper Lebanese-influenced baking: square pizzas and manoosh with sujuk and cheese or sujuk and veggie toppings, fresh kaak, loaded croissants, zaatar and cheese minis, acai bowls and even a Nutella pizza for the kids. Reviews consistently single out the owner and staff alongside the coffee, which is exactly what you want from a dog-friendly regular.

The cafe sits on a small commercial strip on Haig Avenue with free on-site parking, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. It is an easy stop combined with the Georges River parklands a short drive away.
