Band Hall Reserve Fenced Dog Park in Birrong is a fully fenced, 24/7 off-leash area tucked into the wider Band Hall Reserve, with separate sections for small and large dogs, so it works well if you've got a nervous little one who doesn't want to be bowled over.
The rules. Dogs can run off-leash inside the fenced enclosure, but leads go back on in the surrounding reserve. Owners need to keep dogs under voice control, clean up after them (bag dispensers are provided), and remove any dog showing aggression straight away.
What's there. Entry is via a secure double-gated system, so there's a buffer zone before dogs can get to the street. Inside you'll find bench seating under established trees, basic agility equipment, and drinking water on site.
Getting there. The park is at 26 Ferrier Rd, Birrong. It's a short walk from Birrong train station on the T3 Bankstown Line, and there's street parking along Ferrier Rd and nearby streets if you're driving.

Nearby with the dogs. There's no dog-friendly cafe or stay right on the doorstep as the immediate area is residential, but Bankstown's cafe strip is a short drive away for a coffee stop afterwards, and Salt Pan Lake Dog Park is another fenced option nearby if you want to mix things up.
When to go. Weekday mornings and late afternoons draw the biggest crowds. Mid-morning on weekdays, roughly 10am to 2pm, is quieter and a good pick if your dog needs calmer social time rather than a full-on scrum.
