Lieutenant Cantello Reserve Fenced Dog Park on Stewart Avenue in Hammondville is a fully fenced, 24/7 off-leash area, secure enough for confident off-leash time any time of day and popular enough with locals to feel well used without being packed.
The rules. Dogs must stay inside the fenced off-leash area and under control at all times. It sits right next to a children's playground, so keep a close eye on recall around that boundary. Clean up after your dog using the bag dispenser provided.
What's there. Double-gated airlock entry gates for safe arrivals and exits, wooden agility ramps and obstacles, a water tub for dogs, a covered seating area for shade, an on-site carpark right by the fence, and public toilets in the wider reserve.

Getting there. Off Heathcote Road and close to the M5 and the Georges River, with free on-site parking next to the fence. Holsworthy Station is the nearest train stop, though you'll want a short drive or bus connection from there to reach Stewart Avenue.
Nearby with the dogs. The Shack, a short drive away in the Sporties carpark on Heathcote Road, is a solid dog-friendly coffee stop before or after a run around.
Weekday mornings are the quiet window here, Saturday mornings and late afternoons draw the family crowd, so if your dog needs space to itself, go early.
