Urth Cafe & Co

Urth Cafe & Co is a family-run cafe on Hume Street in East Toowoomba, opening from 6am on weekdays and known for all-day breakfast plates like baked eggs and the Bad Benny croissant. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, and it is an easy stop before or after a lap of Queens Park up the road.

The dog setup

The kitchen leans into a big spread of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options alongside the classics, with weekday lunch specials that keep it affordable. Hours are 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and 7am to midday on weekends, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch venue rather than an afternoon one.

Getting there and parking

It is at 195 Hume Street, on the eastern edge of the Toowoomba CBD. Free street parking runs along Hume Street and the surrounding side streets, and the cafe is wheelchair accessible. From the door it is a short walk north to Queens Park if you want to stretch legs afterwards.

Close by with the dogs

The Queens Park dog off-leash area is the obvious pairing for an off-lead run, and Queens Park Railway Dog Park gives you a second fenced option nearby. For another coffee in the same pocket, Sage & Butler on Margaret Street and 95 Mary Street are both close by.
