Tarte Tea Garden

The setup. Tarte Tea Garden is a busy creek-side bakery-cafe at 2-4 Thrower Drive, best known for its pastries and coffee. Dogs are welcome across the large open-air, covered courtyard beside the street and creek; the indoor area is people only, but the outdoor space is generous, so that is rarely a limitation.

Good to know. The pull is the bakery counter, scones and high tea, with tea-garden views over the water. It gets genuinely busy, and weekends often mean a queue for walk-ins. Water bowls turn up from staff or regulars, but a collapsible bowl is the reliable option.

Getting there. Two off-street car parks sit directly beside the property, with limited street parking around it. Arrive early on weekends.

Nearby. The Currumbin Creek walkway runs right alongside the cafe for a pre- or post-coffee stroll, and Currumbin Beach is a short walk on. Off-leash beach times are set by council, so check the signs before unclipping.
