Shelly Park Shop

Shelly Park Shop is a casual beachside kiosk at 117 Ewos Parade, South Cronulla, sitting right in front of the grassy park and looking over Shelly Beach and the ocean pool. Seating is almost all outdoors, which makes it one of the easiest coffee stops in Cronulla to bring a dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor courtyard and patio tables around the kiosk, and water bowls are usually on hand. Staff are known to make a fuss of canine regulars, and the shop keeps a long-running "Dogs of Shelly" photo board celebrating them. Treats live behind the counter, so ask before you order one for your dog.

Worth knowing

The acai bowls have a local reputation as the best in Cronulla, and the kitchen covers the seaside classics: bacon and egg rolls in the morning, then burgers, prawn cutlets, schnitzel wraps and fish and chips through the day. It opens early, 6am daily, running to 3pm Tuesday to Sunday and 5pm on Mondays. The view over the ocean pool is the reason to linger.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Ewos Parade. The kiosk sits away from the main Cronulla hub, so parking is usually easier here, though sunny weekends still fill the curb quickly.

Close by with the dogs

Council rules matter here: dogs on-leash are fine on the Shelly Park walkways and grass, but prohibited on the sand at Shelly Beach, inside the ocean pool, and within 10 metres of the fenced playground.
