Shelly Park Shop is a casual beachside kiosk at 117 Ewos Parade, South Cronulla, sitting right in front of grassy Shelly Park and overlooking Shelly Beach. The seating is almost all outdoor, which makes it one of the easiest spots in Cronulla to bring a dog.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor courtyard and patio seating. Staff are known to make a fuss of four-legged visitors, with treats and a long-running "Dogs of Shelly" photo board. Keep the dog on-leash in the park and on the esplanade path alongside.

Grass underfoot, the ocean pool in view and a kiosk that keeps treats behind the counter. Ask before you let me have one, but this is a proper good morning out.

Good to know. The acai bowls are a local favourite, often called the best in Cronulla, alongside fruit frappes and smashed avo. Open seven days from early, around 6am. The views over Shelly Beach and the ocean pool are the draw.

Getting there. Free street parking runs along Ewos Parade. It sits a little away from the main beach hub, so parking is often easier here, though weekends still get busy.

Nearby with the dogs. Shelly Park is right there for an on-leash picnic, and the paved esplanade path out front is ideal for a coastal walk. Check council signage for seasonal restrictions on the sand.

Mornings are best for a calm table and a quiet walk. Good for combining a coffee with a loop of the park and the esplanade.
