Wandering Bull Espresso

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating, kept leashed and close to your table. The space is compact, so it works best for calm dogs rather than an excitable group, and there is no confirmed dedicated dog menu. Bring your own water bowl to be safe; this is a small operation rather than a fitted-out brunch palace.

Locals rate it for a reliably good flat white, fresh cafe food and the chilli scrambled eggs in particular, with fast, welcoming service. Think quick-bite stop rather than linger-all-morning, which is exactly right for a mid-walk coffee.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is a short walk from Clayfield railway station, which makes it one of the easier car-free coffee stops in Brisbane's north. Street parking is available nearby but tightens up during the weekday breakfast rush.

Close by with the dogs

Weekday mornings are the best window before the rush fills the handful of alfresco tables. Keep in mind the hours: closed Sundays, Saturdays only run 7am to midday, and weekdays wrap at 3pm.
