Yellow Matter

Yellow Matter is a microbrewery and cafe in a converted council building on Marion Road, Brooklyn Park, from the team behind Richmond's Karma & Crow. Dogs are explicitly welcome, on leash, throughout the venue's airy indoor and covered space.

The dog setup. This isn't a footpath-only arrangement, the building's open, mid-century interior means well-behaved leashed dogs can settle in with you rather than being confined outside. Bring your own water bowl and treats to be safe, as none are confirmed on site.

Good to know. The venue is known for in-house brewed beer, a casual plant-based and vegetarian-friendly food menu, and a pool table for a longer stay. It draws a relaxed, community crowd rather than a fast turnover cafe scene.

Getting there and parking. It's at Unit 18, 108-120 Marion Road, Brooklyn Park, with dedicated on-site parking and easy access off the main arterial road.

Nearby with the dogs. Lockleys Oval and several small suburban reserves sit just behind Marion Road for a run before or after. The Linear Park Trail along the River Torrens is a short drive away, and Henley Beach is about 5-10 minutes west for a beach walk to round out the day.

Weekday afternoons are the easiest time to bring a dog before the after-work crowd fills the courtyard and pool table area. Confirm opening hours before you go.
