Loveon Cafe

Loveon Cafe is a busy corner cafe at 39 Gladstone Road, Mile End, minutes from the Adelaide CBD and Thebarton. It opens 6.30am to 2.30pm every day except Tuesdays, and it has quietly become one of the inner west's most reliable brunch institutions, drawing over a thousand reviewers and a steady parade of local dogs to the outdoor seating.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, a relaxed, vintage-styled corner space where water bowls usually appear without asking. Keep your dog leashed and settled at the table; this is a popular cafe with tight foot traffic, so a dog comfortable lying low while plates circulate fits best. The corner spot makes people-watching easy for a social dog who likes an audience.

The vibe

The kitchen runs an inclusive, Indo-Australian-flecked brunch menu: smash avo, chicken quesadillas, rosti, pancakes, croquettes, and a genuine spread of vegetarian, vegan and halal options, with generous portions across the board. Specialty coffee, matcha lattes and fresh juices cover the drinks. It is casual and community-minded, family-friendly, and busiest on weekends when the brunch crowd stacks up.

Getting there and parking

Gladstone Road has free street parking and so do the surrounding streets, though weekends thin it out; buses along Sir Donald Bradman Drive are the alternative. The cafe is an easy bike or short drive from the city, and the Parklands sit within walking distance for a pre-brunch leg stretch.

Pair it with a walk first: the Torrens Linear Track Loop follows the river through Thebarton, and River Torrens Linear Park Fenced Dog Park adds an off-leash option close by. Mister Sunshine's in Thebarton is the other dog-friendly brunch card in the deck.
