A casual, well-rated cafe on the corner of Millers Road and the Esplanade, directly opposite the Altona foreshore. It has a strong local reputation as a dog-friendly stop, which makes it an easy landing spot after a beach walk across the road.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on-leash in the outdoor courtyard and the front footpath tables. Water bowls are usually put out near the outdoor station, and the outside area has heaters for colder days. Inside seating is the usual people-only.

Good to know. Known for Campos coffee and a brunch menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, alongside the usual smashed avo. It gets busy on weekends given the foreshore position.

Getting there. At the junction of Millers Road and the Esplanade. Free street parking on the Esplanade and side streets, with a public lot nearby, though it fills on sunny weekends.

Nearby with the dogs. Altona Beach is straight across the road, and the Esplanade path runs along the waterfront for an easy on-leash stroll.

Aim for earlier on weekends to snag an outdoor table before the after-beach rush.
