Myrtaceae is a small, family-run cellar door on Main Creek Road in Red Hill, on the high ground of the Mornington Peninsula, and dogs are welcome on lead in the gardens and outdoor tasting areas. Established in 1984, Myrtaceae focuses on cool-climate, single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a rosé in the lineup and cheese plates to share. Tastings happen at the cellar door or out in the gardens, and the small production means you will often be talking to the people who made the wine. The cellar door opens weekends only, 12pm to 5pm, so check hours before you drive out.

The winery sits at 53 Main Creek Road, Red Hill, near the Baldry Road intersection, about 90 minutes from Melbourne via the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. On-site parking is straightforward given the scale, arriving early in the tasting window makes it easier still.
