Weekday visits are calmer, give dogs more lawn to themselves, and the cellar door opens 10am to 5pm daily.

The cellar door sits at 319 Step Road, Langhorne Creek, in the heart of the wine district on the Fleurieu side of the Mount Lofty Ranges. There is ample free parking on site, and the drive in from the Strathalbyn or Wellington roads runs through flat vineyard country. Milang on Lake Alexandrina is about 15 minutes away.

Max: Pick a weekday for the lawn and a Saturday only if you have booked. Bring the water bowl regardless; the verandah sun does not negotiate.
