Home of Plenty

Home of Plenty is a cellar door and restaurant in Currency Creek on the Fleurieu Peninsula, set in a renovated shed with a Mediterranean-meets-Palm-Springs look. It is dog-friendly on the outdoor patio, and the owners' own golden retriever is often around to greet guests.

The dog setup

The kitchen runs Italian-leaning share plates such as burrata and prosciutto alongside local wine and spritzes, in a design-led setting that suits a long lunch. It opens Friday to Monday and public holidays from 11am to 5pm, with extended hours sometimes over the December to January peak. Getting there

Currency Creek is about ten minutes from Port Elliot and roughly 15 minutes from Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu, with on-site parking at the cellar door. It works as a stop on a Goolwa to Victor Harbor day drive rather than a destination you hike to.

Pepsi: a patio table here is a good base for a lazy lunch. Order the share plates, park the dog under the table and let the afternoon stretch.
