The dog setup. Dogs are welcome inside the intimate cellar door as well as the small seating area out the front. The space is tight, so it suits a socialised dog comfortable in a busy room. Staff are accommodating; bring your own treats and a water bowl.

Good to know. The wines lean natural and unfiltered, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir among them, and the vibe is high-energy and laid-back rather than a polished estate.

Getting there. Street parking is available on Lilydale Road and the nearby streets. It is right in town, so park once and walk to the distillery opposite and the main-street cafes.

For a green break, the main town park is a five-minute walk for a stroll between stops.
