Woodlupine Brook Trail

Woodlupine Brook Reserve in Beckenham is a long, narrow green corridor where dogs can walk off lead. The City of Gosnells designates it a dog exercise area, which is rare for a path that just keeps going.

Leads and the off-lead area

Within the reserve, dogs can be off lead as long as they stay under effective control. A separate reserve of the same name upstream in Forrestfield is run by the City of Kalamunda, so make sure you're at the Beckenham one.

The walk

Asphalt and concrete paths follow the brook, with small footbridges crossing it, so you can shape a loop of whatever length suits. Tall native trees shade generous grassed areas along the way.

The corridor links residential pockets from near Roe Highway down toward Mills Park.

Pepsi: Grass, shade and room to trot. Pack a ball and a water bottle.

Make a day of it

Carry on to Mills Park for more walking, or finish with a fenced play at Beckenham Dog Park.

When to go

Mornings and evenings are the pick, when the canopy keeps things pleasant. Street parking is easy near entries such as Wickens Street, and it's worth bringing water for the dog.
