Zoomie Land is a small, purpose-built off-leash park behind the Greyhounds WA Cannington track, and it is strictly for greyhounds. If you own one, it is one of the only fenced spaces in Perth where a retired racer can run flat out without a muzzle. If you own any other breed, this one is not for you.
The rules. Greyhounds only, no other breeds are permitted through the gate. Dogs must be registered, vaccinated and desexed, and kept on lead entering and leaving the fenced area. No aggression is tolerated, owners must stay with their dog rather than leaving them unattended, food is not allowed inside the fence, and children need close supervision around the dogs. Bring your own bags, though bins are on site for clean-up.
What's there. The park is fully fenced and grassed, at roughly 300 square metres, with a water tap for dogs. Shade and seating are limited, so a portable water bowl and something to sit on are worth bringing, especially over summer.
Getting there. The park sits at 42 Liege Street, Cannington, at the rear of the Greyhounds WA Cannington track, behind the Bunnings on Albany Highway. Enter via the Liege Street roundabout; parking is on site. Cannington train station and the Albany Highway bus routes are both within walking distance if you are coming without a car.

Hours vary around race meets: it typically closes Tuesdays from 5pm to 9pm, Thursdays from 7am to noon, and two hours before the first race on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Confirm current times with Greyhounds WA before visiting. Early mornings and weekdays are the quietest windows to get the whole run free.
