Woodlands Reserve on Teakwood Avenue is a neighbourhood sports ground with paved paths, a playground and a drink fountain. It makes an easy on-lead circuit a few blocks from Jackadder Lake.
Lead rules
The City of Stirling manages the reserve. Keep dogs on lead unless a sign on site marks an exercise area, and stay clear of the playground.
The walk
Concrete and asphalt paths ring the open turf and the sports facilities, including the Warren Lake Hall with its community murals. Mature trees shade the playground side.
There are drink fountains, bins and public toilets, plus street parking on Teakwood Avenue.
Max: Winter footy and summer cricket bring crowds. Keep to the paths when the ground is in use.
Make a day of it
Walk on to Jackadder Lake Reserve for a lakeside loop, then stop at Coffeecient of happiness.
A handy weekday walk, and a good warm-up before the longer lake circuit.
