Coffeecient of Happiness is a neighbourhood cafe at Shop 1, 24 Muriel Avenue, Innaloo, a few minutes from the Karrinyup shopping precinct. It is a regular haunt for local dog walkers because the staff actively welcome dogs, and it opens from 6am on weekdays, which puts it among the earlier coffee options in the area.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area at no charge, and the cafe has featured in Perth dog-friendly spot lists on that basis. Water is often available for dogs but not guaranteed every visit, so a collapsible bowl is worth packing. Some patrons report well-behaved dogs being allowed indoors too, but that is at staff discretion, so ask on arrival rather than assuming.

The menu leans into playful naming: the Innaloo Benny, the Avocado Happiness Mojo with beetroot relish and dukkah, chilli scrambled eggs and acai bowls, plus pastries and specialty lattes, with vegetarian and vegan options throughout. High chairs and a kids menu make it family-friendly, and there is wheelchair-accessible entry and seating. Hours run 6am to 1pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm on weekends, so it is strictly a breakfast-and-lunch venue, and a pet grooming salon next door makes combining errands easy.

Getting there and parking

Muriel Avenue runs off Scarborough Beach Road, with free street parking on Muriel Avenue and a free on-site parking area. Stirling station and the Mitchell Freeway are both close for anyone coming from further afield. Weekday mornings from 6am are the quietest window and the easiest time to secure an outdoor table.

Close by with the dogs

Wright Road Fenced Dog Park in Stirling is the closest proper off-lead run, a short drive south. If you are extending a cafe morning, Morris Kitchen is another dog-friendly cafe in Innaloo worth adding to the route, and Holla is a short drive west in Doubleview.
