Pet policy
Dogs must stay on lead at all times everywhere in the reserve (City of Canning).
Willetton Park is a busy sports ground first and a dog walk second, and the City of Canning keeps it on lead at all times. Many locals call it Willetton Reserve, after the Willetton Reserve Pavilion on site.
Lead rules
Dogs must stay on lead everywhere in the reserve. With cricket nets, baseball cages, a tennis court and a playground on site, it is not a place for a free run.
The walk
Paved paths wind around two large sporting areas framed by mature gum trees. It is flat and easy, and a good place to practise calm lead walking around distractions.
Shade comes from the gums and the pavilion, but the ovals are open to the sun. Bins are around the pavilion, clubrooms and playground.
On-site parking, including accessible bays, is beside the pavilion. Water is limited to the pavilion area, so bring a bowl.

For an off-lead run, Burrendah Park in Willetton is an approved dog exercise area. B&L Espresso Bar is close by for a coffee.
Pick a time when no matches are on, and the reserve makes a calm spot for a steady on-lead lap.
