Espressoul Coffee & Kitchen

Espressoul Coffee & Kitchen sits at 4/477 Riverton Drive East in Riverton, a cosy contemporary cafe with a Taiwanese-influenced menu and a reputation for looking after dogs in its alfresco area. It opens at 6:30am daily, running to 1pm Monday to Thursday and to 5pm Friday through Sunday.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the designated outdoor and alfresco seating, and the staff have a habit of bringing biscuits out for canine visitors, which is the kind of thing that turns a first visit into a regular one. Keep dogs leashed, settled and clear of walkways, and bring a portable bowl if your dog is a messy drinker.

The vibe

The kitchen works all-day breakfast and lunch with a Taiwanese twist: Lo Bah Png braised pork belly rice, truffle mushroom medley, the Chilli Scramble Egg on Croissant, weekend waffles, mi goreng and sweet potato fries. The coffee side is serious too, with soy lattes a house speciality, and there is a kids corner that makes family sessions easier.

Getting there

A free on-site car park plus free street parking cover arrival, and the venue has wheelchair-accessible parking and entrance. Midweek closes at 1pm, so the long lunches belong to Friday through Sunday.

Pepsi: call ahead if the weather turns foul. Alfresco is the confirmed dog access, so it is better to know the outdoor situation before you drive out.
